The Issues

Many of the issues facing the 8th district rise above partisan politics and are core, fundamental issues related to the needs of the community.

Save Our Water Supply - Stop the dumping of hazardous materials in small towns across the Commonwealth through soil reclamation and similar practices by strengthening DEP enforcement and proposing a state-wide ban of dumping hazardous waste in close proximity to a major water supply.

The Opioid Epidemic - Provide additional funding for substance abuse treatment throughout Worcester County, and place tighter restrictions on the manufacturers of opioid medications.

Education - Look into a fair funding formula for the Chapter 70 program, and ensure that small towns are adequately represented when it comes to unfunded mandates that may strain their budgets.

Infrastructure - Secure investment for infrastructure development in the Blackstone Valley and Worcester County to stimulate economic growth and mitigate inequality across the state of Massachusetts.
